Motherhood Mondays. Best teethers.

So, I have scoured the aisles of the Buy Buy Baby and Amazon marketplace to find and bring the very best teethers from our experience of two girls in the last two years, meaning two sets of teeth, to the world.

My number one favorite by far is plain ole frozen vegetables. Celery, cut washed and frozen is such a delicious treat for the little one see photo below… Carrots run a close second to favorite vegetable but they have to be frozen. Now, I will warn you that the salary once frozen and chewed on for a few minutes by baby, becomes slimy and almost like they squeeze all the water out of it. So get it away from your baby as soon as you see it shrivel up, or else they could shove it all in their small mouth.

My second favorite is the Battat keys available at Target, they are stainless steel dental grade keys with an interactive key chain for your little one to play with as well.

I’m not going to lie, we found ourselves victim to liking Sophie the giraffe. However, after losing two of these $20 teethers I really cannot remember the girls doing much with them, other than squeaking them and playing with them. So if you buy them secondhand.

Another good favorite happens to be just straight up spoons, either plastic baby spoon or regular stainless steel spoons. Easy and basically free.

It’s sort of funny and ironic the second time around you really realize you don’t need all this stuff unique you thought you needed the first time.

Good luck on your teething adventures.

  1. Another great one is dill pickles (Whole ones, but not the mega giant ones because they can’t fit them in their mouth). The acidity in the juice is naturally numbing/soothing and the cold, nubby texture does its magic. M&j’s fav! Miss youn
